Advanced BA Internship in Healthcare
This internship is designed following an NHS EPR transformation case study. During this internship, you will work on several workstreams to analyze the existing Patient Administration System (PAS) and identify gaps along with operational impacts and clinical hazards.
Your findings will lead to several operational impact assessments, options appraisal and solution recommendations. You will be given adequate training on the use of both systems as well as the existing standard operating procedure which may be affected by the changes you will bring as a result of Business Change.
Overview of Activities
This project is designed to run from definition to ‘’go live’’ and covers all relevant aspects of requirement elicitation, analysis and functional decomposition of Business Requirements. Furthermore, you will be involved in the practical instances of integration, migration, UAT and operational readiness assessments. You will contribute to, and manage relevant artifacts and activities including:
- OIA and Clinical Hazard Logs Engagement
- Comms & strategy
- Functional Design Specification
- Cut over planning & Execution
The objective of this project is to equip you with a realistic sense of the diverse activities encountered during the lifecycle of a typical project, and how the coexistence of various processes, departments, stakeholders, dependencies and system limitations trigger situations which are then resolved by the project team.
This project is quite intensive and requires your personal dedication of several hours each week. Each intern will be assigned a personal set of tasks which will be time bound. There are no co-working beyond the guidance of a Senior Business Analyst and each person will be assessed and supported based on individual needs.
At the end of this project, you will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in the practical application of Business Analysis in practice.
